Today we introduce Erika Tatti, Quality Manager specialized in Process Quality, who joined MPT in 2024. Her professional background is characterized by extreme precision and a structured approach due to the rigorousness of large companies. At MPT, however, she has discovered a different environment: one in which the value of the individual and cross-functional collaboration are an essential part of the organizational framework.

A Novel Approach to Quality

Within a single year, Erika, alongside the Quality Control department team, under the leadership of Engineer Ilaria Bibbiani, has implemented two pivotal innovations:

• Minor non-conformities: A revised system that directly engages operators, facilitating the immediate reporting of process anomalies. This paradigm shift enhances accuracy from the outset, thereby mitigating end-product defects.
• Predictive maintenance: A redefined quality standard that transforms maintenance from a reactive measure to a structured, proactive procedure. Intervening before a failure occurs results in reduced downtime, minimized unforeseen costs, and enhanced production efficiency.

These enhancements, while challenging to implement, necessitated unwavering commitment, interdepartmental collaboration, and a willingness to transcend established practices. The outcomes are unequivocal: in the most recent internal quality certification audit, MPT Plastica achieved zero major non-conformities, a feat Erika describes as unprecedented in her career.
